San Diego Comic-Con once again became the biggest talking point of the week as studios unveiled first looks, trailers and exclusive footage from some of their most anticipated upcoming projects, with fans getting major updates from the worlds of Marvel, DC and beyond. Indian cinema also made its presence felt on the global stage with Ramayana hosting a special Comic-Con panel, although its much-awaited trailer was postponed just ahead of its scheduled online launch. Back home, Netflix dropped the trailer for Operation Safed Sagar, offering a glimpse into its military drama inspired by the Kargil War, while the haunting first trailer for Ebenezer introduced audiences to a fresh supernatural horror story and the untitled Vijay Sethupathi–Sai Pallavi starrer Mani Ratnam’s film officially began filming.
San Diego Comic-Con 2026 wraps up with major reveals from Marvel, DC and Hollywood
Another year of San Diego Comic-Con has come to an end, and as always, Hall H became the centre of some of Hollywood’s biggest announcements. From long-awaited sequels and surprise castings to exclusive first looks and trailers, studios packed this year’s convention with reveals that will shape the next few years of film and television. Marvel Studios stole much of the spotlight with an extensive presentation led by Kevin Feige. Fans got exclusive footage from Avengers: Doomsday, which brought Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Pedro Pascal, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Letitia Wright and several other cast members on stage. The studio also officially announced a Ghost Rider film with Ryan Gosling set to star and Shawn Levy directing, while Ryan Coogler confirmed Black Panther 3, introducing David Jonsson as the new Black Panther, T’Challa Jr. Marvel also previewed new footage from Spider-Man: Brand New Day and announced a theatrical re-release of Avengers: Endgame with exclusive Doomsdayfootage.DC Studios, meanwhile, continued building anticipation around its growing universe with fresh updates on Lanterns, while Matt Reeves offered fans a first glimpse at The Batman Part II, teasing Robert Pattinson’s return in a darker, snow-covered Gotham. Beyond superheroes, studios including Prime Video, Apple TV+, HBO, Disney and Paramount also showcased upcoming titles, with new looks at The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, House of the Dragon, Neuromancerand several other highly anticipated projects.
